Cat Clock Deleted Scene

We shot two versions of the cat for this film in order to be able to choose between two alternate versions of the story. One with a real cat (RIP Mischief) and one with a Felix the Cat Style cat clock. Immediately during the first few hours of editing we decided the real cat worked much better, and stayed true to the original script, so this footage you see here ended up on the cutting room floor. The part where he puts the batteries in is where we would have heard Art say “there you go buddy” which correlates to the moment in the film when he feeds the real cat dry food.
